Lin Chi-ling looking for love. Any offers Jerry Yan?

Supermodel Lin Chi-ling (林志玲) is open to offers. She told reporters at a commercial event in Taichung on Thursday that all she wants for Christmas is a boyfriend. This suggests that her proposed marriage to toilet maker Scott Qiu (邱士楷) is off and the heir to the HCG Corporation (和成集團) is no longer her lover. The timing of Chi-ling’s statement is interesting because the 36-year-old belle’s ex, actor Jerry Yan (言承旭), has publicly declared he still has feelings for her. He has blamed himself for their breakup on various occasions and on a recent variety show was in tears when talking about her. Reporters on Thursday showed Chi-ling the video clip of Jerry breaking down on the show, and the model’s reaction was wide-eyed. She commented that Jerry has both “sense and sensibility” and added the pair were still communicating by SMS. Source: QQ.com Categories: News Star-Wiki: Taichung: Dec 24 2010

Hmm,she paused. “I cannot give you the exact numbers now, but it’s not correct.” She added cordially: “(What I earned) is a secret.” The leggy beauty was in town last week for the opening of entertainment outlet OverTime at Dempsey Hill. The Malaysian chain has also opened another outlet at Holland Village. Taiwan's top model, Lin Chi-ling celebrated her 36th birthday yesterday. It has been a rollercoaster year for Chi-Ling. "No matter how busy she is, she would help me with the cooking and housework when she returns home. I'm fortunate to have my daughter." She'll pursue her dream man

Fri, Nov 19, 2010 The New Paper She'll pursue her dream man by Tan Kee Yun TWENTY days is definitely not too short a period to fall head over heels in love with someone and accept his hand in marriage. At least, that scenario seemed totally plausible for Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chi-Ling, star of wuxia epic Red Cliff and the Indiana Jones-inspired actioner The Treasure Hunter. The 35-year-old beauty was in town last Friday to grace the official opening of Swiss luxury watch brand Longines' swanky new boutique at Marina Bay Sands. While on the topic of her good pal and fellow Taiwanese artiste Barbie Hsu's whirlwind engagement to wealthy restaurant heir Wang Xiaofei, Lin showed unequivocal support. "I think she is a very courageous girl," Lin told The New Paper. "When I learnt she was going to get married, I congratulated her and told her jokingly, 'Now, you're starting to give us (referring to herself and other single friends) a lot

Lin Chi-ling opens on relationship with Jerry Yan for the first time

Top Taiwanese model Lin Chi-ling breaks down on variety show Lin Chi-ling reveals her feelings for Jerry Yan for the first time on Saturday. The top model, who has always been very low-key when it comes to relationships, revealed her desire to be loved and how she's filled with regrets on a variety show in China. When the host read out a love memoir written by Jerry after his break-up with Chi-ling, the 35-year-old started to tear uncontrollably on the spot. Recording had to be paused while the host comforted the model. Little was known about this very private couple, whether before or after they parted ways. But Jerry did reveal in a talk show some time back that the 1.74m tall model was someone worth treasuring and gave his blessings as well, shedding some light on their shared past. http://entertainment.xin.msn.com/en/celebrity/buzz/asia/article.aspx?cp-documentid=4418901&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

I believe at that time, they were in love secretely, despite her mother's disapproval of their relationship. Its not only from being understanding to openly keep Jerry single from her side (since he was trying to expand his carreer all over Asia that time; and everyone knows being single is the easiest way to get into fans) but also from the pressure her mother gave. Her tears in this video showed so much regret but she has always been a good daughter obeying her mother. Jerry understands it. "The prince ran to her hospital bed, but did not know which way to hug her will not cause her pain (due to her medical condition), he only could knee down and cry out next to her, while the princess's tears drop off" He further sated that "The prince did not know why its so painful when two people truely in love attempt to hug" the hosts were asking about the love story between her and Jerry (F4) and quoted from his book stating the incident of Chiling fall

Supermodel Lin Chiling ordered to pay NT$6.84m in tax case Posted: 08 October 2010 1303 hrs TAIPEI: Taiwan model-actress Lin Chiling has been ordered to pay NT$6.84 million (S$290,000) in taxes owed after losing a lawsuit brought against her by Taiwan tax authorities on Thursday, reported Taiwan media. Taiwan tax authorities previously found that the supermodel, who makes about NT$70 million (S$2.9 million) annually, had paid NT$6.84 million less tax than she was supposed to between 2003 and 2005. Lin had argued that her income should be seen as "Professional Practice Income" and that a portion of her costs can be deducted before tax is levied on the remainder. However, taxation officers believed that her income should still be seen as "Earned Income", which meant Lin was entitled to a much more modest tax deduction. The courts eventually ruled against Lin. The tax authorities had initially wanted to fine Lin an additional NT$1.35 million (S$57,000) for

Patty Hou loses out to Lin Chiling

For celebrities, wearing similar clothes can be a boon or a bane depending on how well they carry it off. In Patty Hou's case, perhaps she should have chosen a different dress: she wore a Vivienne Westwood low-cut dress which supermodel Lin Chiling had wore one year ago. Chiling last wore the dress during a screening of Red Cliff 2 in Japan a year ago, while Patty wore it in a recent product endorsement event. And if wearing an outdated dress is not embarrassing enough, reporters even caught sight of Patty's bulging tummy in that dress, leading to speculations that the Taiwanese host is now expecting. Chi-ling has just finished up filming the Japanese drama Moon Lovers with Takuya Kimura and is currently taking a break in China. She even brought along her entire family from Taiwan in case the local paparazzi give them trouble. According to reports, Chiling now has multiple product endorsements on hand and talks are underway for more product endorsements from Japan. Chiling was

Yes to Lin Chiling, no to Lady Gaga

NO doubt Lady Gaga is now the world's hottest pop sensation, but she may not be every man's dream girl. For one, Ian Chen, the leader of Taiwanese rock trio F.I.R., said the Grammy winner is way too bold, dramatic and over-the-top for him. Instead, a girl with the looks and charisma of Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chiling will be a better choice of girlfriend, Chen quipped. Click here to find out more!Click here to find out more! Lin Chiling's maiden J-drama may face cancellation

TOKYO: Taiwan model-actress Lin Chiling's maiden Japanese drama serial "Moon Lovers" suffered from dismal ratings in Japan and may face cancellation, reported Taiwan media. Kimura's earlier drama "Hero" holds the record for being the highest rated drama serial in the same time slot with ratings of 34.2 per cent. The Japanese actor is so popular in Japan that any drama he appears in was virtually guaranteed good ratings; however, it appears this was not the case for "Moon Lovers". The pair was engaged in a passionate onscreen kiss for three minutes and failed to attract viewers despite the sizzling lip-lock action. The show has been slammed by netizens for its unattractive and slow storyline. Supermodel Lin Chi-ling responds to ex-lover Jerry Yan's love notes in his new photobook For the first time, Jerry Yan candidly discussed his closely-guarded personal life in a new photobook, and reminisced about his romance with Lin Chi-ling in a moving piece. Despite his outpouring display of affections, the supermodel has shut the door coldly in his face. In an intelligent yet almost painful answer while appearing at an environment awareness event, she said, "Love cannot be recycled." Before that, when asked if she would want Jerry back, Chi-ling had only said, "I will cherish all the good memories." The two were exposed as lovers in 2002 when their infamous bathrobe photos were stolen from Chi-ling's mobile phone when it was sent for repair. It is not known why they split but singer-actor Jerry mentioned in a talkshow last year he had written a letter of repentance for Chi-ling but never sent it. No it’s not Karen Mok from God of Cookery... The lovely Lin Chi-Ling is really determined to establish herself as an actress. In addition to playing a village woman in her new Japanese drama with Kimura Takuya, she also took on the role of a very unglamorous woman in the movie Welcome to Shamatown. In one photo released from the movie, Chi-Ling wore a short wig and held a cleaver in her hand. Many netizens thought she looked a lot like Wu Chun and Vic Chou if they were to dress up as women. Her famous curves seemed to have literally disappeared in other images as she was dressed in a thick sweater and pants. She got chicken feather all over her short hair and a mouth full of yellow teeth. The new image is a complete overturn of her beautiful character Xiao Qiao from Red Cliff. Lin Chi-Ling was hesitant to take on the role in Welcome to Shamatown at first, but she fell in love with the character after reading the script. Her costar Sun Hong-Lei previously commented that he doesn’t want

In contrast to her usual glamorous image, Lin Chi-Ling plays a beautiful woman from Shanghai living in poverty. Her character meets the president of a furniture design company played Japanese superstar Kimura Takuya, and gets a chance to become a model in Japan. Lin Chi-Ling was seen dressed as a village woman and crying hysterically on the ground for a particular scene. She and Kimura Takuya could only communicate in simple English, but he was a true gentleman despite the language barrier. The temperature was only 7 degrees on the day of the shoot, so he let her rest in the car that was originally brought in for him and costar Watanabe Ikkei, while the two men stood outside in the wind. Some on-lookers pointed out that Kimura Takuya was very polite to the staff, and had a smoke during his break. Although it is Lin Chi-Ling's first time working on a Japanese drama, she is rumored to be paid up to NT$840,000 per episode. Her pay check is only slightly lower than costars Shinohara Ry

Chi Ling's entire outfit was handpicked by a stylist, whereas Jacquelin's was picked herself. "This proves that we all have similar tastes, good choice!" Jacquelin laughed. "Luckily it's not a boyfriend that we both picked the same one." Since your tastes are so similar, do you like Chi Ling's rumoured ex-flame, Jerry Yan? "No, because I like guys with the same mother tongue as me!" She further stated that although Jerry and Chi Ling are beautiful individuals, they don't have to necessarily be a couple --"The most important thing is to be in love and to have tolerance, beautiful girls can just as easily be paired with a wild animal!"
