Chi-Ling goes full time into acting

By Chew Wan Ying SHE has been only in two films so far, but model-turned actress Lin Chi-ling is making acting her full-time career. "I will go full-time acting, definitely. This is the path that I'm going to go on for the long term. As for modelling, I can do it part-time," she told The Daily Chilli recently when she was here to promote her latest film The Treasure Hunter. The pretty lass is especially interested in tackling roles that are based on real life stories and figures. "It does not have to be someone famous. I don't mind playing a plain Jane as long as the film comes with depth," she said. She was equally fascinated by the idea of playing a scheming girl. "I want to play someone that is so cunning and evil but you can't tell until the last 10 minutes of the film." Lin Chi-ling On Her Guards Against Men Yet Worries of Not Being Loved

Taiwan top model cum female artiste, Lin Chi-ling, frankly revealed that despite being on guard against men, she is worried about not being loved. Jay Chou and Lin Chi-ling, together with director Kevin Chu, arrived in Singapore two days ago to promote their latest movie The Treasure Hunter. Lin Chi-ling loses $10,000 watch after luggage got broken into at Malaysia customs

Previously in Beijing event, Chi-ling, along with co-star Jay Chou, flew in to Malaysia last Monday via China Airlines, CA971 and arrived in Kuala Lumpur at around 10pm. Despite her seat in business class, the actress only made her way out of the customs after close to an hour with her crew and nine pieces of personal luggage. The 1.74m tall model-actress only realized that her luggage lock had been tampered with when she checked into her hotel, and that her watch was missing. Jay Chou and Lin Chi-ling will be gracing our sunny shores on December 22 with their presence to promote their upcoming movie, The Treasure Hunter. The movie promotion event was originally slated to take place on December 20 but was pushed back two days later and will fall on the 22nd instead. The two leading actors will be present with the movie director, Zhu Yen-ping. They will hold a press conference and a meet-and-greet session at Plaza Singapura to share about their various treasure hunting experiences with fans. After which, the two Taiwanese artists will attend the movie's gala premier and attend a red carpet walk at VivoCity's Golden Village theatre. The cast from The Treasure Hunter features the likes of Eric Tsang, Chen Daoming, and Chen Chuhe.
