MODEL TO SERVE AS SPOKESWOMAN OF WORLD VISION AIDS PROGRAM 2006-04-26 19:21:10 Taipei, April 26 (CNA) Taiwan's top model, Lin Chiling, will serve as the spokeswoman for a program of World Vision Taiwan that cares for orphans left by deceased AIDS parents, officials of the charity organization said Wednesday. Lin will travel with a delegation organized by the organization to Swaziland, which has the highest AIDS infection rate in Africa, from May 7-13, they said. Lin said that since a horse-riding accident in China last year, she had reflected upon her life during her months of convalescence and decided to serve as a World Vision volunteer. She expressed hope that her visit to Swaziland will be her first lesson of a richer life. Lin said she also met a Watoto children's chorus from Uganda recently to "further her understanding" of Africa.
