"Welcome to Shama Town" promotes in Chengdu BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhuanet) --Chinese director Li Weiran's latest project "Welcome to Shama Town" held a press conference in Chengdu on June 25, 2010, CFP.cn reports. The director, along with actors Sun Honglei, Huang Haibo, and actress Gan Wei attended the conference; however the lead actress, Taiwan pop star Lin Chiling was absent. At the conference, Sun Honglei shared some stories from behind the scenes and his new understanding of comedy when production wrapped. Some reporters questioned if Lin Chiling was the right choice as a leading lady for this film, as her recent films have failed in the Japanese and Hong Kong markets, but Sun simply answered that it felt right working with the Taiwanese singer.
