Tokyo Film Festival Opens with Green Carpet 2008 October 19 15:56:11 Xinhua The 21st Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) opened Saturday with a Green Carpet welcome ceremony to celebrities and film stars in the hope of conveying the message of environmental protection. Movie: Taichung to host 45th Golden Horse Film Awards Agency Taichung will host the 2008 (45th) Golden Horse Film Awards Ceremony. A film festival related to the awards will be held in November. Previously, the city held the 41st Golden Horse Film Awards on December 4, 2004. Pace Wu Pei-Ci, a Taiwanese actress and model, will replace supermodel Lin Chiling as co-host of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival Gala produced by Beijing-based China Central Television (CCTV). A report in the Beijing News said Lin could not co-host the show because of her busy schedule and that Wu's agency confirmed that she would replace Lin. CCTV has not confirmed the news.
