Top model Lin Chi-ling teams up with tourism bureau to promote Taiwan

Taipei, Dec. 23 (CNA) Model and actress Lin Chi-ling was named a goodwill ambassador for Taiwan's Tourism Bureau on Monday in the hopes of boosting the number of tourists from Japan, where the popular actress enjoys a fan following.

Sporting a purple sleeveless dress, Lin unveiled a 15-second commercial along with bureau officials and talked up tourist attractions ranging from the Taipei 101 skyscraper and the National Palace Museum to scenic spots like Sun Moon Lake and Alishan.

Of course, she also made sure to put in a word for Taiwanese delicacies.
