Posts from Asianfanatics credits to myvi, kklajerry and fatty2 From Penny@weloveJerry.com (Thailand website) From the latest magazine on sale in Thailand,"Praew". There is an exclusive interview of Jerry inside. The reporter had an opportunity to interview Jerry at the hotel during his trip in Thailand for the worldvision campaigne last year. A Thai fan did translation the text appeared in the magazine from Thai to Chinese. His answer seems a bit strange. It becomes a big discussion on Thai webboards. What do you think? myvi: even to his Thailand jms were shocked by Jerry answer. they called it as a bit strange??? well, i'm in the process to digest Jerrys answers now..even my heart broke, i will try to ease myself by fattys words on tis.. kklajerry: Well, it is highly unlikely that Jerry would review/admit this kind of information to an unfamiliar, foreign reporter. I think there is a high probability that the reporter misunderstood Jerry's meaning or Jerry misunders

Lin Zhi Ling criticized for cheap-act Taiwan supermodel Lin Zhi Ling (Chiling, 林志玲) was criticized by international renowned director Tsai Ming Liang (蔡明亮). The Malaysian born award winning director was referring to Chiling’s act at a recent company-dinner by Taiwan richest man, Terry Guo (郭台铭). Chiling was paid to attend the dinner, and performed a tango with Terry while praising him as a good man…. which Tsai described as disgusting. Tsai also criticized that the dinner was over luxurious (it’s said that the dinner cost ~USD20 million) and he felt bad at the overspending while some poor people were having hard time during the Chinese New Year festive season. Tsai further explained that he was not targeting Chiling alone; stating that he was disgusted by all the artists that entertained and praised Terry simply because he is super-rich. I felt that it’s harsh to criticized artist for making money… Chiling for example didn’t do any harm to others. I do see Tsai’s point though, the Tang

Ad artillery keeps attacking youth with 'beauty shells' By Liao Meng (China Daily) Updated: 2007-02-26 06:24 Chen Shi is jealous of a beautiful woman she encounters almost every day. For 15 seconds, this woman twists her body under a shower, her slender legs and white skin covered in soap bubbles. She speaks in a sweet, but spoilt child's voice. The woman is Taiwan supermodel Lin Chi-ling in a skincare TV commercial. But it's surprising how Chen, a 23-year-old online news editor and a well-informed woman, could have such feelings. Chen, however, is not the only person to fall prey to such advertisements. A 2006 study conducted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) shows that youth across the country are the target. These ads are meant not only to sell products, but also to make promises and create new values and lifestyles. "The advertisers want to convince you that every woman should look like Lin," says Chen. "But how many can actually do s
