Lin Chiling sues magazine for trespassing and slander

TAIPEI: Taiwanese supermodel Lin Chiling on Monday appeared in a Taipei court to sue "Next Magazine" for trespassing on private property, slander, as well as threatening her privacy. The weekly tabloid allegedly broke into Lin's Taipei house in May 2006 while doing a story on the star's love triangle between actor Jerry Yen and Qiu Shi Kai - son of a rich businessman. The magazine then hired a fengshui master to analyse the house's interior design and furniture arrangement, thereafter publishing articles claiming Lin has intentions of marrying a rich man in the shortest time possible. Accompanied by her brother Lin Chihong and two attorneys, the "Red Cliff" actress emphasised in court that a home is where one should feel the most secured. She said that after the trespassing, her privacy was threatened and she felt a loss in sense of security.
