Lin Chiling in Paris

A cheerful Taiwanese star met the media in Paris recently as the Asia-Pacific ambassador for watchmaker Longines. IT’S the smile that gets you. Much has been written about Taiwan star Lin Chiling. She’s tall (that she is, at 174cm), she’s beautiful, classy and she has long, long, long legs. But she also has that smile ... radiant, friendly, sympathetic, kind – and elegant. It’s a smile that says many things. And it almost never wears off. For some six hours in Paris, she wore that smile. And it was just so – the near-perfect teeth showing just that much. Even when she had her mouth closed, she had that smile. Taiwan bus drivers learn to smile to welcome Chinese tourists

Taipei - Taiwan's largest bus company is teaching its drivers how to flash the best smile to welcome Chinese tourists, a cable TV channel reported Friday. The Taiwan Motor Transport Co, which operates long-distance buses across the island, has launched a 'Learn to Smile' campaign to prepare its several hundred bus drivers for the influx of Chinese tourists, CTI TV reported. Using a poster showing the face of Taiwan's top female model Lin Chih-ling, the company is asking its bus drivers to imitate Lin's trademark smile - which shows her white teeth - to make Chinese tourists feel welcome. read more here
