Wax Statue Created For Lin Chi-ling
A wax statue will be molded after Taiwanese top model Lin Chi-ling's image as "Xiao Qiao" in movie "Red Cliff". The statue is expected to be ready by Jan 2009. At the Madame-Tussauds Hong Kong press conference, Lin says the sculptor spent three hours on creating the made-to-measure wax sculpture. Her modeling experiences came in useful when she has to stand stationary for hours. "Red Cliff" has built up Lin's interest in acting and she says she would like to take on acting as a life long career when opportunity arises. She also praised her partner in Red Cliff, Tony Leung, for leading her into the role as "Xiao Qiao". Her dream partners in the movie industry include Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves and Hong Kong director Peter Chan. Lin, who sang on the recent Taiwan Golden Horse Awards, was heavily criticized for her awful vocals. However she says she will humbly take criticisms and work on her performance.
