Taiwanese model Lin looks forward to starring with Motoki

TOKYO —Lin Chi-ling, a popular Taiwanese model who played the heroine role in the film ‘‘Red Cliff,’’ says she looks forward to acting together with Masahiro Motoki, an Oscar-winning Japanese actor.

’’I would like to perform with Masahiro Motoki,’’ Lin said during a recent promotional event in Tokyo for her first photo book. She said she was impressed by his performance in the Oscar-winning film ‘‘Okuribito’’ (Departures).
