Jerry Yan refuses to talk about Lin Chi-ling
The actor who recently returned from Japan was bombarded with questions regarding his rumoured girlfriend
Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan had been rumoured to be dating model Lin Chi-ling since 2005, and the pair's relationship with each other had always been the focus of media attention.
Recently, Jerry was in Japan for two meet-the-fans sessions. Coincidentally, Chi-ling was also in the country to film her new drama The 101th Proposal.
When the actor returned to Taiwan two days ago, the media probed if he had met up with Chi-ling in Japan. However, the actor, who wore a face mask, lowered his head and left the customs in a hurry with his luggage.
Previously, Chi-ling's father reportedly praised Jerry for being the "pride of Taiwan", sparking speculations that Mr Lin is trying to coax Jerry into marrying his daughter.
When asked to comment on the marriage rumour, Jerry kept silent. As the actor exited the airport, reporters bombarded him with questions like if he was spending White Day (Mar 14) with Chi-ling, if he had anything to say to Chi-ling's father, what were his advantages over Chi-ling's rumoured beau Qiu Shi Kai and why he was covered up.
However, Jerry turned a deaf ear to the questions and left the airport with his assistant.
Reporters then contacted Jerry's management agency yesterday. A spokesperson claimed that they would not comment on their artiste's personal life and added that Jerry will return to work on his upcoming film Lovers are Gamblers soon.
