The 2009 Asia Model Festival Awards
The Wonder Girls and actor Song IlGuk, Taiwanese top actors Joe Cheng and Lin Chi-Ling, and Japan’s Tantan Hayashi have each been selected to receive an ‘Asia Star Award.’
The 2009 Asia Model Festival Awards will be co-hosted by Seoul’s International Culture Industry Exchange and the Korea Model Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The Wonder Girls and Song IlGuk will be presented as winners at the event which will open at 7 o’clock on January 15 at the Seoul SamSungDong CoEx Convention Hole.
In its fourth year running, the Asia Model Festival Awards plans to bring together super models and representatives from the fashion industry from all over Asia under the slogan ‘Asia is One.’
This year, the event plans to feature 20 top models from eleven countries in Asia (Korea, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan) in an awards ceremony and fashion show. The Model Awards hope to put on a moving and harmonious performance onstage.
Prominent Korean designer Andre Kim will hold a fashion show along with labels KimYoungJoo Golf, Style Homme, and doll by doii.
In addition, not only will there be models in attendance but entertainers Kim JongKook, Brown Eyed Girls, Baek JiYoung, Park HaeJin, Lee DaHae, Han JiHye, Kim Bum, Yoon Soy, and Seo InYoung are also scheduled to present awards. (source:asianuniverse)
